In accordance with the recommendations and policies
in the Town Master Plan, this district is intended to promote and
encourage the development of variety of housing types within the high-density
range prescribed in the Master Plan.

In a Residential High Density RHD-2 District,
no building or premises shall be used, and no building or part of
a building shall be erected or altered, which is arranged, intended
or designed to be used, in whole or in part, for any uses except the
following:
A. Permitted uses shall be as follows:
(1) Any permitted use or accessory use listed in, and
regulated in, the Residential Medium Density RM District, except that
no office or studio as set forth in home occupations in the Residential
Medium Density RM District shall be permitted in a multiple dwelling
or multiple dwelling group.
(3) Townhouses and garden apartments subject to the following
requirements:
(a)
The minimum distance between principal buildings
shall not be less than 1 1/2 times the height of the highest building
or 25 feet, whichever is less.
(b)
No building shall exceed 160 feet in length.
(c)
Any apartment building over three stories in
height shall be fully serviced by a passenger elevator.
B. Conditional uses shall be permitted as follows, subject to approval of the Planning Board in accordance with Chapter
217, Article
II, hereof, and subject to the requirements specified below and elsewhere in these regulations, including site plan approval, in accordance with Chapter
217, Article
III, of these regulations:
(1) Any conditional use permitted in the Residential Medium
Density RM District.

All uses shall be subject to all applicable off-street parking and loading requirements set forth in Chapter
205, Articles
II and
III, of these regulations. In addition, the following off-street parking and loading standards shall apply:
A. For nursing and convalescent homes, no parking or
loading area shall be located within 100 feet of any street or lot
line.
B. No overnight parking of commercial vehicles, except
within an enclosed garage, shall be permitted within a residential
district.
