No persons, corporations, association or other entity shall willfully
or maliciously displace, remove, injure or destroy a mileboard, milestone,
danger sign or signal or guide sign or post or any inscripton thereon lawfully
within a public highway; or in any manner paint, print, place, put in or affix
or cause to be painted, printed, placed or affixed any business, commercial,
political or other advertisement or sign on or to any stone, tree, fence,
stump, pole, building or other object which is the property of another without
first obtaining the written consent of the owner thereof. No person or persons,
corporation, association or other entity shall paint, print, place, post or
affix or cause to be painted, printed, placed or affixed such an advertisement
or sign within the limits of a public highway or on or to any stone, tree,
fence, stump, pole, sign, post, stake, building or the like located within
or over the limits of a public highway.
Any advertisement or sign in, upon or over a public highway in violation
of the provisions of this chapter may be taken down or removed by anyone.
Any person, corporation, association or other entity convicted of violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to the penalties provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions.
