This zone is designed to allow a mix of adaptive
uses in existing Canal Era historic structures to ensure their preservation
and restoration.
The following uses are permitted in Historic
Preservation Districts:
E. Museums and similar institutions.
H. Bachelor apartments and a mixture of the above commercial
and bachelor apartment uses upon the finding of the Planning Board
and Architectural Review Board that such uses and their proposed density
will not be detrimental to the other uses within the district or to
the historic integrity and character of the district.

Supplementary regulations shall be followed as set forth in Article
XVII, except for the following sections, which are to be deleted from application in this district:

230-72, Off-street parking requirements.
B. Section
230-73, Off-street loading requirements.
C. Section
230-75, Landscaping requirements.
D. Section
230-76, Screening of service and parking areas.
