The Director of Development shall serve as administrative
coordinator to all of the various boards, commissions and committees
of the City, in those matters related to his or her department. He
or she may attend meetings upon the request of the various boards,
commissions and committees and offer such advice and assistance as
may be necessary to effect better coordination of their varying programs.
The Director of Development shall conduct regular
meetings with citizen organizations appointed by law to review and
discuss and recommend renewal and redevelopment plans and programs,
and make reports of the same, in writing, to the Council.
The Director of Development shall provide staff
assistance and survey analysis in connection with any Master Plan
or community renewal plan authorized by law, and as approved by the
Council.
It shall be the duty of the Director of Development
to prepare a workable program for the City and for annual recertification
of same, providing that the same has been first approved by the Council.
The Director of Development shall recommend
zoning and subdivision ordinances for submission to the Council.
It shall be the duty of the Director of Development
to prepare all applications and related documents with respect to
federal and state aid in those matters related to his or her department.
