Except when in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer
or official traffic control device, no person shall stand or park a vehicle,
whether occupied or not, on the paved portion of any Town road, street or
highway in the Town of Wilson, except momentarily to pick up or discharge
a passenger or passengers or except temporarily for the purpose of and while
actually engaged in loading or unloading merchandise.
A.
The Town shall erect signs giving notice of the restrictions
on parking and standing on the streets and highways.

B.
Except in an emergency or in compliance with the direction
of a peace officer or official traffic sign, no vehicle shall be left parking
or standing on any of the following named streets or highways or parts thereof
within the Town of Wilson:
(1)
Riverview Drive, also known as Riverview Road.
(2)
All that certain public property on the east side of
Riverview Drive commonly known as the "Wilson Boat Launch" and the ingress
and egress area(s) thereto.
(3)
Harwood Avenue from Lester Place South to Park Place.
(4)
Wilson Avenue from Lester Place South to Park Place.
Each such Constable or other peace officer shall attach to such vehicle(s) a notice to the owner or operator thereof that such owner or operator is in violation of this article and instructing such owner or operator to report to the Town Court of the Town of Wilson. Each such owner or operator may, within 48 hours, exclusive of Sunday, of the time when such notice was attached to the vehicle, pay to either Town Justice, as a penalty and in full satisfaction of such violation, the sum of $5. Such payment may also be made by depositing a check or money order in that amount with the notice in a postpaid envelope properly addressed and securely closed to: Town Court of the Town of Wilson, Town Hall, 375 Lake Street, Wilson, New York 14172. Said payment must be mailed in a post box or post office of the United States Postal Service within 48 hours, exclusive of Sunday, of the time when such notice was attached to the vehicle. The failure of such owner or operator to make such payment to the Town Court within said 48 hours shall require such owner or operator to pay the additional sum of $5, and if said penalties are not paid thereafter within seven days from the date when such notice was attached to the vehicle, such failure shall render such owner or operator subject to the further penalties provided for violation of this article as set forth in § 119-5 hereof.

Any person violating the provisions of this article may, upon conviction,
be punished for the first offense by a fine not exceeding $100 and for a subsequent
offense by a fine not less than $25 nor more than $100.
