The provisions of this chapter shall be enforced
by the Police Department of the Town of Mount Pleasant or any agent
thereof appointed by the Town Board.
A.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shall be deemed guilty of a violation and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be fined in an amount not exceeding $250 or be imprisoned
for a period not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Each day that such violation is committed or permitted to continue
shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such.

B.
Any person under the age of 16 years who shall violate
any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed to be a juvenile
offender.
The operation of vehicles and equipment used
by the Town of Mount Pleasant Highway Department in the performance
of official duties shall be exempt from the requirements of this chapter
until such time as vehicles and equipment capable of compliance are
available and acquisition thereof is authorized by the Town Board.
