by reference and made a part of this chapter and its provisions are hereby
made applicable to the Town of Newburgh.
[Amended 12-1-1980 by L.L. No. 1-1980]
A. Storage of explosives and blasting agents. Storage of explosives and blasting agents is prohibited in all zoning districts established in Chapter
185, Zoning, except the I Industrial District. This shall not, however, prohibit temporary storage for use in connection with an approved blasting operation, nor shall this prohibition apply to wholesale and retail stocks
of small arms ammunition.
B. Storage of flammable liquids in aboveground tanks; bulk
plants for flammable and combustible liquids.
(1) Storage of flammable liquids in outside aboveground tanks is prohibited in all zoning districts established in Chapter
185, Zoning, except the I Industrial District.
(2) New bulk plants for flammable or combustible liquids are prohibited in all zoning districts established in Chapter
185, Zoning, except the I Industrial District.
C. Bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gases. Bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted to two thousand (2,000) gallons' water capacity in all zoning districts established in Chapter
185, Zoning, except the I Industrial District. However, in particular installations, this capacity limit may be altered at the discretion of the Fire Inspector after consideration of special features such as topographical conditions, nature of occupancy and proximity to buildings, capacity of proposed tanks, degree of private protection to be provided and facilities of the local Fire Department.
