A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office of the Manager of the Township of Butler, being marked and designated as the "International Fire Code," as well as Chapter 1 and the Appendix Chapters A through G of said Code, as published by the Code Council, is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the Township of Butler, for the control of buildings and structures are herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the International Fire Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part thereof, as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions and changes prescribed in § 176-2 of this chapter.
Insertions. The following sections are hereby inserted as follows:
Section F-101.1, page 1, Title: Insert "Township of Butler."
Section F-109.3, insert "summary offense, $1,000, 30 days."
Section F-111.4, insert "shall be liable to a fine of not less than $100 or more than $1,000.
Savings clause. Nothing in this chapter or in the Fire Code herein adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in any court, or any rights required, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action accrued or existing, under any act or ordinance repealed hereby. No right or remedy of any characters shall be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
Short title. This chapter, together with the Fire Code adopted herein, shall be known and may be cited as the "Fire Code of the Municipality."
Enforcement. The Code shall be enforced by the Zoning Officer, or the Zoning Officer's authorized representative, and such other persons as the Board of Commissioners may designate by resolution from time to time.
Ordinance No. 757, adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 21, 1997, and codified in the Butler Township Code in Chapter 176 is hereby repealed.
