[The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Easton was established on July 27, 1948, by resolution of Council, in accordance with the Act of May 24, 1945 (P.L. 991). The Mayor is authorized to appoint with the advice and consent of Council five persons as members of the Redevelopment Authority, all of whom shall be residents of the City. Members serve for a term of five years. The Authority is designated as agent for the City to conduct a comprehensive neighborhood rehabilitation program by Ordinance 2452, passed April 12, 1978.]
