GENERAL REFERENCES

From and after the effective date of this chapter, no motorboat or other water craft, while being operated upon waters within the boundaries of the Town of Glocester, shall be operated within a clearly marked public bathing area on the shores of the waters of said Town.
No motorboat or other water craft upon the waters within the boundaries of the Town of Glocester shall be operated at a speed of more than 35 miles per hour or in a reckless or negligent fashion upon the waters within the boundaries of the Town of Glocester.
No person shall operate any motorboat, vessel, or seaplane in a manner which shall unreasonably or unnecessarily interfere with any other motorboat, vessel, or seaplane, or with the free and proper navigation of the waterways of the state. Anchoring under bridges or in heavily traveled channels shall constitute such interference if unreasonable under the prevailing circumstances.
Motor boat operators shall obey lawful directions given to them by any police officer of the Town of Glocester or authorized employee of the Department of Environmental Management in enforcement of the provisions of this chapter and shall immediately, upon being so instructed, comply with said lawful directions.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
MOTORBOAT
Includes any vessels propelled in whole or in part by mechanical means, either inboard or outboard, and using a motor powered by gasoline, diesel fuel, naphtha, kerosene, steam or fuel oil.
WATER
Includes all lakes, rivers, streams, ponds or other bodies of water located within or partly within the boundaries of the Town of Glocester.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined in accordance with R.I.G.L. Title 46, Chapter 22.
