§ 313-1 Disposal, dumping and/or storage of used vehicle tires prohibited.

A. It shall be unlawful to dispose of, dump, store, or shred used vehicle tires within the Town of Johnston.

B. No business, company, corporation or private individual shall be allowed to have remaining on their property, for any purpose, used vehicle tires.

§ 313-2 Enforcement.

The Police Department of the Town of Johnston shall be responsible for documentation and enforcement under the provisions of this chapter.

§ 313-3 Violations and penalties.

Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable as follows:

A. Any person convicted of any offense hereunder shall be punished by a fine of $200 for each day that the violation and nuisance continues;

B. All persons convicted hereunder shall be fined as directed. The trier of fact shall not forgive, issue warnings or mitigate this penalty in any manner whatsoever.

§ 313-4 Police to document compliance.

It shall be the responsibility of the Police Department to oversee and document compliance relating to the removal of said used vehicle tires.
