The office of Town Clerk shall be an appointed
position, said appointment to be made by majority vote of the Board.
The Town Board shall make an initial appointment not less than 30
or more 60 days after the date of the Special Town Meeting,[1] and no appointee may take office until the term of the
incumbent expires.

Editor's Note: A vote was held at the Special
Town Meeting on 11-14-2000 and a majority of the electors approved
the appointment of the office of Town Clerk.
