The Electrical Inspector shall be appointed
by the Village President, subject to confirmation of the Village Board.
Until such time as a full-time Electrical Inspector is appointed,
the Village Board may designate some other officer or employee of
the Village to act in such capacity, in addition to his other duties,
or the Village Board may employ a part-time electrician possessing
the necessary experience and qualifications.

The Electrical Inspector shall be a competent
electrician, shall have at least six years’ experience as a
journeyman in the practice of his or her trade or four years’
training in a recognized college of electrical engineering, shall
be well versed in approved methods of electrical construction for
safety to life and property, the state statutes relating to electrical
work, the rules and regulations issued by the Wisconsin Department
of Safety and Professional Services, the National Electrical Code
of the National Fire Protection Association, and the Wisconsin Uniform
Dwelling Code, and shall be of good moral character.
The Electrical Inspector shall keep adequate
and complete records of all permits issued, inspections made and other
official work performed under the provisions of this chapter and shall
make a complete annual report to the Village Board covering all of
his activities.
