The Town of Trenton is a body corporate and politic with those powers granted by law. The Town shall be designated in all actions and proceedings by its name, as the Town of Trenton.
Enter into contracts necessary for the exercise of its corporate powers.
The Town Meeting having, by resolution, directed the Town Board to exercise all powers relating to villages and conferred on village boards by Ch. 61, Wis. Stats., the Town shall have said powers through its Board. This is a continuing grant of powers.
The polling place serving all wards in the Town of Trenton shall be the Trenton Town Hall.
Registration of electors required. Before any elector of the Town of Trenton votes or attempts to vote in any election or any primary or any referendum, such elector shall first register in accordance with the provisions of §§ 6.26, 6.27, 6.28, 6.30, 6.32, 6.33, 6.35, 6.36, 6.40, 6.45, 6.46, 6.50, 6.55, 6.56 and 6.57, Wis. Stats., and any statutes amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto. Election officials shall not allow any person to vote in any election, primary or referendum unless such person has first registered according to law.
