There is hereby adopted by the City as if set out at length in this chapter, for the purpose of prescribing regulations for the minimum standards to safeguard life, health, property and public welfare in the construction of public works, those certain standards and specifications known as the: Wyoming Public Works Standard Specifications; AASHTO Interim Guide for Design of Pavement Structure; Evanston City Street Standards, pages 1-5; Evanston City Street Drawings, pages 1-7; Basics of Barrier Free Design in Wyoming; and General and Special Standards Governing Mobile Home Parks, Travel Trailers, Truck Campers and Tenting Units (Wyoming). The most current editions of all of the above, and the whole thereof, except such portions as may be modified, deleted, added or amended pursuant to section
7-6, are hereby adopted. Such provisions shall be controlling for the construction of public works within the City.
The standards and specifications adopted by section
7-5 shall have such amendments, modifications, additions or deletions as the City council shall, from time to time, adopt by ordinance.

The governing body of the City is hereby authorized to adopt
by resolution, for the purpose of prescribing regulations for the
minimum standards for building to safeguard life, health, property
and public welfare, all needed regulatory building codes, for the
City of Evanston, including without limitation, the International
Building Code, the International Residential Code for One and Two
Family Dwellings, the International Existing Building Code, the International
Mechanical Code, the International Fuel Gas Code, the International
Plumbing Code, and the National Electric Code.

There is hereby adopted by the City, for the
purpose of providing for the repair, removal or destruction of any
dangerous building or enclosure, the 1997 edition of the Uniform Code
for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings and the same is hereby incorporated
in this section as fully as if set out at length herein.
At least one copy of each code adopted by this
article and any ordinance adopted by the City council providing for
amendments, modifications, additions or deletions in such codes shall
be maintained on file in the office of the City clerk, where such
copies shall be available for public inspection during the normal
office hours of the City clerk. One copy of each ordinance amending
or modifying each such code shall be kept with each copy of such code
and made available for public inspection at the same time as and in
the same manner as such code.
