The Superintendent of Public Works, or his/her designee, the Chief of the Fire Department, or his/her designee, the Code Enforcement Officer, or his/her designee and the Police Department of the City of Corning are each hereby authorized to issue an appearance ticket to any person alleged by any of said public servants to have committed an offense or offenses in violation of any statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation relating to fire prevention and safety, sanitation, building, zoning and planning, which, by virtue of his/her office, title or position, any of said public servants is authorized or required to enforce.
Any appearance ticket issued pursuant to the authority granted in § 5-1 hereof shall direct the person to whom it is issued to appear in the City Court of the City of Corning at a designated future time in connection with the designated offense or offenses allegedly committed.
