No person, firm or corporation shall, within the Village of Lake George, sell, offer for sale or have in his possession or custody any rocket, cracker, roman candle, smoke bomb, smoke crackers, stink bombs, fire balloon or other combustibles, fireworks or any other article for making of a pyrotechnic display, provided that nothing contained in this section shall be construed as to prohibit the Village Board of the Village of Lake George from granting permission to give pyrotechnic displays of fireworks in the parks or public places of the Village of Lake George.
No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged, ignited, fired or otherwise set in action within the limits of the Village of Lake George any fireworks, firecrackers, rockets, torpedoes, roman candles, smoke bombs, fire balloons or other fireworks or substances of any combination whatsoever designed or intended for pyrotechnic display, except after having obtained a permit as hereinbefore provided. It shall also be unlawful for any person unnecessarily to discharge in or into any street, highway or public place in such village any rifle, gun, pistol, revolver, cane or other appliance, whether projecting or exploding any bullets, cartridge, blank cartridge, cap or otherwise, or any explosive substance or mixture or chlorates or nitrates.
Any person offending against this chapter or any section thereof shall, upon conviction, be punished by penalty of not less than $25 nor more than $100. Any violation of any of the provisions of the above chapter shall constitute disorderly conduct, and any person violating the same shall be a disorderly person.
