The purpose of this article is to ensure the safety, comfort and convenience of the public in their appropriate uses of Gage Brook Recreation Center and Park.

It shall be unlawful for any person to bring or otherwise possess any domestic animal, leashed or otherwise, within the area designated as Gage Brook Recreation Center and Park, with the exception of the area designated as "Dog Park."
A. 
Dog Park.
(1) 
Dogs will be permitted within the area designated by signage and fencing known as "Dog Park."
(2) 
All dogs shall be accompanied by a handler that will be responsible to have the dog under their control at all times.
(3) 
All handlers will be responsible to remove all wastes deposited by their dog and deposit same in an approved container.
(4) 
The Village of Lake George reserves the right to prohibit, remove, or otherwise deny access to any handler and their dog who creates undue disturbances or complaints within the park.
(5) 
It shall be unlawful for occupants to smoke or use tobacco products within the designated area of the Dog Park.
(6) 
Dog Park is open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

All dogs must have license tags.

Owners are required to produce proof of vaccination upon request of a park official.

Dogs are required to be leashed upon entering and leaving park.

No other animals are permitted within the Dog Park.

Female dogs in heat are prohibited.

It shall be unlawful to conduct performances of any nature whatsoever, including but not limited to concerts, dramas, shows, parades, drills, reviews, speeches and playing of musical instruments, within Gage Brook Recreation Center and Park, without making application for same and receiving permission on a form, approved by the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Lake George known as a "community facilities use permit."
It shall be unlawful to occupy Gage Brook Recreation Center and Park between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.
The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages of any type is prohibited within the Park except as permitted by special use permit by the Lake George Village Board of Trustees.

It shall be unlawful for anyone to enter upon the Recreation Fields of the Recreation Center, climb over fencing or utilize any of the facilities without first obtaining a permit from the Village of Lake George for such use.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for anyone to enter on, cross or ride an ATV or any type of motorized vehicle on any of the trails of the Recreation Center, unless they are performing governmental duties assigned by the Village of Lake George.
B. 
The Recreation Center is officially closed at dusk and no one is permitted on the property thereafter, unless authorized by the Village of Lake George.

A. 
Every violation of this chapter shall constitute an offense, as defined by § 10.00 of the Penal Law of the State of New York and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $100.
B. 
In addition to any other remedies or penalties that may be imposed, a violation of this chapter shall entitle the Board of Trustees to undertake a remedy to repair any damage caused by the violation of any section or provision of this chapter, and the actual disbursements and expenses therefor shall be added to the fine(s) set forth in this chapter. This provision shall be in addition to any other provisions, penalties or powers available to the Village for enforcement of this chapter.
