No person, corporation, copartnership or association shall solicit or run for any hotel, boat, lodging house, garage, campground, ferry or theater upon the streets or other public places within the corporate limits of the Village of Lake George, New York.
No person, corporation, copartnership or association shall solicit from private property within the limits of the Village of Lake George, New York, patronage for any hotel, boat, lodging house, garage, campground, ferry or theater, of persons passing along or through the streets, thoroughfares, roads or public parks of the said Village of Lake George, New York; nor shall any person, corporation, copartnership or association, from private property within the corporate limits of the Village of Lake George, New York, motion to or hail, shout, call out or address from said private property in any manner whatsoever, or employ or use any loudspeaker, megaphone or other instrument or thing, soliciting patronage for any hotel, boat, lodging house, garage, campground, ferry or theater, from person or persons while upon, passing through or along or being transported over such streets, thoroughfares, roads or public places of said Village of Lake George, New York.
Each and every violation of the above ordinance shall constitute disorderly conduct, and the person or persons violating the same shall be a disorderly person or persons and shall be liable to a penalty of $75 for each and every violation thereof, and in case of default in the payment of such penalty, the defendant shall be committed to the county jail of Warren County for a term not exceeding one day for each dollar of the penalty imposed.
