The code established by this chapter concerning the public health as
it applies to construction, design, safety, health and maintenance of swimming
pools and accessories, commonly known as "Swimming Pool Code of New Jersey
(1970)," which was approved by the State Department of Health for adoption
by reference by local boards of health under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 26:3-66
et seq., shall be known and cited as "Hillsborough Township Board of Health
Swimming Pool Code (1976)," and the same is hereby established, adopted and
made an ordinance of this Board pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:3-66 et seq. and the
statutes in such case made and provided, and a copy of this Code is annexed
hereto and made a part hereof without the inclusion of the text thereof herein.
Three certified true copies of said code marked as aforesaid were, on the
introduction of this chapter, placed on file in the office of the Clerk of
this Board, where same will remain on file for use and examination by the
public until final action is taken on this chapter and, if this chapter is
adopted, will also remain on file in said office for such use and examination
for so long as this chapter shall remain in full force and effect; and three
additional certified true copies of said code, marked as aforesaid, and three
certified true copies of this chapter shall be placed on file and shall remain
on file in the office of any board, body or office of the Township of Hillsborough,
in the County of Somerset, and of this Board, having in charge the enforcement
of this chapter and said code, for the use and examination of the public for
so long as this chapter shall remain in full force and effect. This chapter
and said code may be printed in composite form for general use.

Application for a permit to operate all swimming pools, other than privately
owned residential (one-family) pools, shall be filed with the Board of Health
of Hillsborough Township. The application fee shall be $200 per annum.
