A.
Creation of position. There is hereby created the
position of Mechanic of the Totowa Borough Fire Department.
B.
Qualifications. The Mechanic of the Totowa Borough
Fire Department must have expertise in the area of servicing fire
equipment and any other State of New Jersey and federal government
mandated requirements.

C.
Duties. It shall be the duty of the Fire Department
Mechanic to perform mechanical services with relation to the Fire
Department's equipment as directed by the Fire Chief and the Mayor
and Council of the Borough of Totowa.
D.
Position to be part-time; compensation. The position
of Mechanic shall be a part-time position, and the Mechanic shall
receive compensation as provided in the annual Salary Ordinance[1] adopted by the Mayor and Council for his services as Mechanic.
He shall receive such other compensation for additional mechanical
work performed as may be authorized by the Mayor and Council.
