There is hereby created the office of Deputy
Borough Clerk of the Borough of Totowa.

Such officer shall assist the Borough Clerk
in the duties of his office, as provided in the laws of the State
of New Jersey and the ordinances of the Borough of Totowa.
In the absence of the Borough Clerk, the Deputy
Borough Clerk is authorized to act as the Borough Clerk, with authority
to assume all of the duties of his office.
Such officer shall be appointed and shall hold
office as provided by law. Such officer shall receive compensation
as provided in the annual Salary Ordinance adopted by the Mayor and
Borough Council.[1]
