23, Art. IX, of the 1974 Code)]
There shall be appointed by the Mayor, with
the advice and consent of the Borough Council, a Borough Treasurer
who shall be a resident of the Borough. The term of office of such
Treasurer shall be one year and until a successor shall be qualified.
Tenure may be obtained as provided by statute. The Borough Treasurer
shall receive such compensation as is provided annually by ordinance.[1]

Editor's Note: The currently effective Salary Ordinances are
on file in the office of the Borough Clerk and are available for examination
during office hours.
The Borough Treasurer shall perform such duties
as are required by law and the ordinances of the Borough and such
additional duties as may be designated by the Borough Council.
