[Adopted 6-17-1993 by Ord. No. 93-3; amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. II)]
The Town shall maintain an area to which residents prominently displaying a Hebron Transfer Station sticker pursuant to Article I of this chapter may deliver bulky waste generated within the Town on such days and during such hours as may be determined from time to time by resolution of the Board of Selectmen.
Persons delivering bulky waste to the bulky waste area of the Transfer Station shall comply with all rules and regulations from time to time adopted by resolution of the Board of Selectmen as to the placement thereof at the area and shall pay for such waste so delivered such fees as shall from time to time be prescribed by the Board of Selectmen.
The Board of Selectmen may by resolution prescribe and from time to time amend fees for the acceptance of bulky waste at the bulky waste area of the Transfer Station, which fees shall be calculated reasonably to pay the costs of the maintenance of the area and the cost of removal and disposition of bulky waste delivered to the area.
Bulky waste, for purposes of this article, shall include demolition debris, tree limbs, tires, appliances, furniture and furnishings and other items too large to be otherwise feasibly disposed of, but shall in no case include any hazardous or toxic waste, as defined in General Statutes § 22a-115, any applicable federal statute, any implementing regulation or as included within General Statutes § 22a-220.
