Pursuant to the provisions of § 7-718 of the Village Law of
the State of New York, a Planning Board of five members is deemed to have
been appointed for the Village of West Carthage, Jefferson County, New York,
and the members first appointed shall serve for one, two, three, four and
five years as designated in their appointments, and one member shall be designated
to serve as Chairman of the Planning Board. Subsequent appointments shall
be made in accordance with the provisions of § 7-718 of the Village
Law.
Pursuant to § 7-726 of the Village Law, the Planning Board shall have full power and authority to make
investigations, maps and reports and recommendations concerning and relating
to the planning and development of the Village of West Carthage.
Pursuant to the provisions of § 7-728 of the Village Law of
the State of New York, the said Planning Board is hereby authorized and empowered
to approve plats showing new streets or highways in the Village of West Carthage,
Jefferson County, New York.
The Clerk of the Village of West Carthage is directed to forthwith file
with the Clerk of the County of Jefferson a certificate showing that the Board
of Trustees of the Village of West Carthage, Jefferson County, New York, has
authorized its Planning Board to approve plats showing new streets or highways
within the Village of West Carthage, Jefferson County, New York, pursuant
to the provisions of § 7-728 of the Village Law of the State of
New York, and the Village Clerk is requested to write to the County Clerk
of Jefferson County and request such Clerk, pursuant to the provisions of
§ 7-732 of the Village Law of the State of New York, to refuse to
file or record in his office any plat of a subdivision of land showing a new
street or highway until it has been approved by the Planning Board of the
Village of West Carthage, Jefferson County, New York.
