§ 148-1 Registration of property owners and tenants required.

For the purpose of procuring accurate information in reference to all persons residing within the Borough of Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, the following registration is hereby required:
A. 
All owners of real estate and mobile homes shall register the ownership thereof at the office of the Borough of Greencastle within 60 days from the date of enactment hereof.
B. 
All landlords, including the owners of real estate and mobile homes, shall register the names of the tenants of real estate and mobile homes, under written or verbal lease, in the Borough of Greencastle within 60 days from the date of enactment hereof.

§ 148-2 Report of change in ownership or tenancy.

When the change of ownership of real estate or mobile homes or the change of tenancy in a landlord-tenant relationship occurs, said change shall be reported to the Greencastle Borough office within 30 days thereof, by the new owner or landlord.

§ 148-3 Borough Secretary to keep registry.

The Borough Secretary shall keep a registry in the Greencastle Borough office, which is now located at 60 North Washington Street, Greencastle, Pennsylvania, containing the information required by this chapter.

§ 148-4 Violations and penalties.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300, and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days.
