Lake City Borough is hereby authorized to require the numbering and
renumbering of any house, building or other structure in accordance with this
chapter.
On and after the passage and approval of this chapter, it shall be the duty of each and every owner, trustee, lessee, agent and occupant of each and every house, building or other structure in the Borough of Lake City to cause the same to be numbered with the official street number assigned by Lake City Borough, in accord with this chapter. All persons required to number existing houses, buildings or structures shall contact Lake City Borough and secure an assigned number and official street name, and the number shall be permanently posted as set forth in §
44-4 herein.
All persons required to number buildings, as set forth in §
44-2 herein, shall number existing houses, buildings or structures within 60 days of the effective date of this chapter. The owners of new structures shall procure a number and official street name assignment as part of the normal building permit process. New structures shall be numbered within one calendar month after completion of the structure, to comply with §
44-2 and §
44-3 of this chapter.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this
chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not
more than $300, and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days.
All ordinances or part of ordinances which are inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed, including the prior ordinance set forth in Chapter
44 of the Lake City Borough Code.
