[Adopted 8-10-1965 as Ch. 24, Art. III, of the 1965 Code]
No person being the owner of any dog or having the custody or control of any dog shall permit such dog to commit any nuisance within the city or cause damage to the property of others. The following acts are declared to be public nuisances and are set forth herein for explanatory purposes only and are not to be considered as excluding other types of nuisances:
A. 
Engaging in loud howling or barking or conducting itself in such a manner as to annoy any person other than the owner or person harboring such dog for a sustained period of not less than 15 minutes.

B. 
Habitually chasing and/or barking at automobiles, bicycles, moving vehicles or persons on foot.
C. 
Jumping upon any person or knocking any person over.
D. 
Being found upon the school yard of any of the schools of the city during the time of year when said schools are open between 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the school day and 30 minutes after the end of the school day.
E. 
Causing any damage to any property or defacing any property. For the purposes of this article it shall be considered damage to property for a dog to dig holes thereon or to deposit his waste eliminations thereon, although such damage is set out herein for explanatory purposes only and is not to be considered as excluding other types of damage from the purview hereof.
F. 
Running together in a pack or in any way forming a pack. For the purpose of this article, the word "pack" is hereby defined to mean three or more dogs.

A violation of this article shall constitute an offense; and any person violating any provision of this article may, upon conviction, be punished for the first offense by a fine not exceeding $10 and for a second offense by a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $25 and for a third or any subsequent offense by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $100.
