The fee for inspections for compliance with
the requirements of this chapter shall be set by resolution of the
City Council.
Bills for minimum housing standards inspection
fees shall be sent to the owner of record, as reflected in the office
of the Tax Assessor. The responsibility for payment of the bill shall
rest with the owner of record. Failure to pay the fee shall result
in imposition and foreclosure of a lien on the property. Unpaid inspection
fees shall become and be a lien upon the real property and shall be
added to and become a part of the taxes next to be assessed and levied
upon such property and shall bear interest at the same rate as taxes
and shall be collected and enforced by the same officer and in the
same manner as taxes.
