No person in a park shall ride a bicycle on
other than a paved roadway or path designated for that purpose. A
bicyclist shall be permitted to wheel or push a bicycle by hand over
any grassy area or a wooded trail or on any paved area reserved for
pedestrian use.

A. No person in a park shall ride a bicycle other than on the right-hand
side of the road paving as close as conditions permit, and bicycles
shall be kept in single file when two or more persons are operating
as a group, except for special events such as bike-a-thons or races.
Bicyclists shall at all times operate their bicycles with reasonable
regard to the safety of others and shall comply with all provisions
of the Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/1-100 et seq.), as the same
is amended from time to time.
B. During the period from sunset to sunrise or at any other time when
visibility is so limited as to require the use of lights for safety,
every bicycle operating on any street or other public place in the
City shall carry and exhibit one lighted lamp exhibiting a white light,
or light of a yellow or amber tint, visible from a distance of 500
feet to the front of the bicycle and with at least one lighted lamp
exhibiting a red light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the
rear.
No person in a park shall leave a bicycle in
a place other than a bicycle rack when such is provided and there
is a space available.
No person in a park shall leave a bicycle lying
on the ground or paving, or set against any trees, shrubs, bushes
or plants, or in any place or position where other persons may trip
over or be injured by it.
No person shall drive or ride upon any motor
vehicle, motorcycle, motor-drawn cycle, motorized equipment, or any
other type whatsoever of a motorized vehicle at any location on the
Lexington Route 66 Nature Trail. This section shall not apply to any
City-owned or authorized vehicle.
No person in any park shall ride a horse or
any other animal.
