A. 
No person in a park shall drink, sell, possess, make a gift of, or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor or controlled substance within a park.
B. 
No person under the influence of alcoholic liquor or a controlled substance shall enter or remain within a park, nor shall any person within a park use, administer, receive, offer for sale, possess, or make available to himself or any person or animal alcoholic liquor or a controlled substance.
The firearms and fireworks prohibitions and restrictions set forth in Chapter 71 of the Code of the City of Lexington shall apply in all parks in the City.

A. 
No person in a park shall permit any dog to run at large. When any domestic animal is found running at large, it shall be rebuttably presumed that the owner thereof has consented to such animal running at large.
B. 
All persons having a domestic animal with them in a park shall restrain such animal at all times on an adequate leash not greater than six feet in length.
C. 
It shall be unlawful for any person owning or having control or custody of any dog to permit the animal to defecate upon park property of this City unless such person immediately removes the feces and disposes of it by depositing it in a trash container or removing it from the park.
D. 
For purposes of enforcing the provisions of this section, tickets may be issued by a City of Lexington police officer.
E. 
The provisions of this section shall not apply to a guide dog accompanying any blind person.
F. 
Any domestic animal found loose or running at large in any park shall be taken up and impounded by City of Lexington police officers or by the animal control officer designated by the City Council.
A. 
Any section or part of any park may be declared closed to the public by the City Street Superintendent at any time and for any interval of time, either entirely or merely to certain uses as the Street Superintendent shall find reasonably necessary.
B. 
No person in a park shall enter or remain in an area posted as "Closed to the Public," nor shall any person use, or abet the use of any area in violation of posted notices.
No person in a park shall fail to produce and exhibit any permit from the City Clerk he/she claims to have, upon request of any authorized City official, officer or employee who shall desire to inspect the same for the purpose of enforcing compliance with any ordinance or rule.
No person in a park shall paste, glue, tack, affix, inscribe, paint, or otherwise post any sign, placard, advertisement, billboard or inscription whatsoever on any structure or property nor shall any person erect or cause to be erected any sign or billboard in or on any such park, park areas, highways or roads adjacent to a park.
The Street Superintendent may erect or direct the erection on City park property topically appropriate decorations and displays designed to commemorate national or state holidays where in his opinion such decorations will not obstruct the functioning of the parks, constitute a visual obstruction of traffic or distract motorists. The Street Superintendent may permit private persons to erect such decorations and displays upon request to do so if and when he/she finds the criteria of this section are met. No person shall erect decorations or displays on park property without the permission of the Street Superintendent.
