A. 
The driver of every vehicle in the parking of said vehicle on the streets of the City of Lexington shall park it in such a manner that it shall be parallel to and with each near wheel within 12 inches of the curb, except that where white or colored lines are placed to indicate diagonal parking, vehicles may be parked diagonally within such lines. Whenever lines are placed upon the street to indicate the place and position of parking, such lines shall be observed by all drivers in the parking of vehicles. No vehicle shall be parked in streets which have parallel parking within four feet of any other vehicle. No vehicle shall be parked in any case within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, or within 20 feet of any crosswalk or alley outlet. No vehicle shall be left standing in such a manner as to obstruct any crosswalk, alley or private driveway. Vehicles always shall stop with the right-hand wheels toward the curb, and no vehicle shall park on the side of the street to the left of the driver as he/she shall face the front of said vehicle.[1]

B. 
Motor vehicles hereinafter defined in the category of heavy trucks shall not be parked at any time on streets located within the areas of the City zoned and classified as R-1, R-2, B-1 and B-2, except for temporary parking as required to load or unload cargo. For the purposes of this section, streets so restricted shall be the portions of such streets that abut said property which is zoned residential, general business, and highway business. For the purpose of the parking limitations as aforesaid, a "heavy truck" is defined as any vehicle having more than two axles, or any vehicle having a gross weight of more than 8,000 pounds.

A. 
No double parking shall be allowed in any street within the limits of the City of Lexington.
B. 
No vehicle shall be parked in any alley that is less than 20 feet wide, and when parked in any such alley said vehicle shall be so parked that each right wheel is within one foot of the alley line on the right-hand side of said vehicle.
C. 
No vehicle shall remain backed up to the curb except for the time reasonably necessary to load or unload, and wherever possible all merchandise and materials shall be unloaded in the alley, except from trucks of one-half-ton capacity or less.
No truck in excess of one-half-ton capacity shall park on Main Street at any time for any purpose, except in case of emergency or absolute necessity.
A. 
The Mayor of the City is hereby authorized to mark or cause to be marked such streets as he/she shall deem necessary with white or colored lines or other markings indicating the spaces in which vehicles may park. The Mayor is also authorized to limit the hours for parking on any streets in order to facilitate cleaning the streets and for other purposes. In placing the markings and signs the Mayor shall be guided and governed by locations, amount of traffic, the use of the streets and all other traffic conditions. He/She may limit the parking of cars both as to place and to hours so as to obtain the best and safest use of the streets and sidewalks for the citizens. The Mayor may cause said markings and signs for regulation of hours of parking to be changed from time to time.
B. 
In any block where said markings appear it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle, or any part thereof, in said block outside the space indicated for parking by said markings.
No vehicle shall be parked upon any street or public property for the purpose of sale or display, or for garage purposes or for storing.
It shall be unlawful for the operator of any motor vehicle or person in charge thereof to leave unattended upon any street a motor vehicle with the engine running.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park any motor vehicle on the following streets or parts of streets:

Any person, firm, or corporation violating the provision of this section shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $750 for each offense.[1]

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park any motor vehicle along either side of any City street at such times that a snowfall of two inches or more is predicted.
B. 
Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this section shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $750 for each offense.
