As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
INDOOR FURNITURE
Furniture and similar objects that are not specifically designed by the manufacturer to withstand the elements or are otherwise not intended for outdoor use. Indoor furniture includes but is not limited to beds, upholstered chairs and couches.
OUTDOOR AREA
The portion of real property or improvements located thereon that is not fully enclosed and/or fully rooted so as to provide effective protection from the elements. Outdoor areas include but are not limited to yards, driveways, unenclosed porches, decks.
No person who owns or is in possession, in charge of or in control of, any real property within Norristown shall store or keep in the outdoor area of said real property any indoor furniture.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of no less than $300 nor more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said lines and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
