Notwithstanding the relevant provisions of Village Law § 3-300 or Public Officers Law § 3 of the State of New York, or any other general law, local law, ordinance or special act, and in particular §§ 26-1 and 26-2 of this chapter, the appointed officials of the Incorporated Village of Greenwood Lake need not be residents of the Incorporated Village of Greenwood Lake but must be residents of the County of Orange and the State of New York.
