The datum line for establishing all street grades in the Borough
is hereby fixed and established as follows: Tidewater levels, the
zero of same being mean ocean tide at Sandy Hook, New Jersey, and
as carried through by Conrail and which is the official datum of Conrail
and also of the Borough of Carnegie.
At least 12 good and substantial bench marks shall be placed
in the Borough and distributed evenly and conveniently for the use
of the Borough Engineer. A public record of the location and elevations
of such bench marks shall be placed on the records of the Borough
by the Assistant Borough Secretary upon the same being furnished by
the Engineer.
