Town of Islip, NY Penalties

Unless otherwise provided, every person convicted of a traffic infraction or an offense against any provision of this Code which is not an offense against any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York and which is not an offense relating to metered parking under the provisions of Chapter TC 8, subsections 1; 2; 4 through 6; or 8 through 23, shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $75 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within 18 months thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $150 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Any person convicted of a violation of any provision of Chapter TC 8, subsections 1; 2; 4 through 6; or 8 through 23, relating to metered parking in the Town of Islip, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $30.
