A Planning Commission is hereby created in and for the Township of South Strabane. The said Commission shall consist of seven members, appointed by the Board of Supervisors of said Township in accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code,[1] and shall perform all the duties and shall exercise all the powers conferred upon a planning agency by said code.

The members of the existing Planning Commission of said Township shall continue in office until the end of the term for which they are appointed.
All prior ordinances or resolutions are repealed insofar as they are inconsistent herewith; provided, however, that the enactment of this chapter shall not invalidate any zoning ordinance or subdivision ordinance, or amendments or supplements thereto, enacted heretofore.
