[The Town of Newtown, at the 9-16-1955 STM (Res. No.
8), moved to present the provisions of Public Act
No. 409 of the 1955 Session of the General Assembly, An Act Concerning
Bazaars and Raffles, to a vote of the electors of the Town, which
question was approved by a majority of the electors voting at the
10-3-1995 election, thereby legalizing bazaars and raffles in the
Town of Newtown in accordance with the provisions of C.G.S. §§ 7-170
through 7-186.]
