[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Smithsburg 2-3-2004 as Ch. 15, Title 2, Subtitle 2, of the 2004 Code. Amendments noted
where applicable.]
All poles that shall be erected by the local electric power
company/supplier or the local telephone company/supplier or other
supplier shall be under the direction and supervision of the Mayor
and Council, and all streets, alleys, highways and sidewalks that
may be disturbed or damaged in the construction of transmission lines
shall be promptly replaced or repaired by the person or persons responsible
for said disturbance at their own expense and to the satisfaction
of said Mayor and Council. All poles erected shall be neatly shaved
and symmetrical and so located as not to interfere with the public
use of said streets, alleys or highways.
