A.
No person except a law enforcement officer or duly appointed animal
control officer acting in their official capacity shall actively hunt
or pursue wildlife with any weapon, trap, or snare or discharge a
firearm, bow or other hunting device within the Village of Newark.
B.
This section shall not apply to a property owner on his or her own
property or a person licensed to remove nuisance wildlife from removing
such wildlife through the use of "live" or other "humane" trapping
methods.
Any person convicted of a violation of this chapter shall, upon
conviction thereof, be punished by a maximum fine of $250 or by imprisonment
for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
