A. 
This article provides for the application, administration, and enforcement of the Minnesota Electrical Act, as adopted by the Commissioner of Labor and Industry pursuant to Minn. Stat. Ch. 326B, §§ 326B.31 to 326B.399, including all of the amendments, rules and regulations established, adopted and published from time to time by the Minnesota Commissioner of Labor and Industry, through the Department of Labor and Industry, which is hereby adopted by reference, with the exception of Minn. Stat. § 326B.37, Inspection Fee Schedule. The Minnesota Electrical Act is hereby incorporated into this article as if fully set out herein, with the exception of Minn. Stat. § 326B.37, Inspection Fee Schedule.
B. 
The application, administration, and enforcement of the code shall be in accordance with the Minnesota Electrical Act. The code shall be enforced in accordance with Minn. Stat. §§ 326B.081 through 326B.085 within incorporated limits of the City.
C. 
The Community Development Department shall administer the Minnesota Electrical Act and shall be the enforcing agency. The code shall be enforced by a Minnesota certified Building Official designated by the City to administer the code.

A. 
The issuance of permits and the collection of fees shall be as authorized in Minn. Stat. § 326B.36, except that the application shall be submitted directly to the City of Isanti.
B. 
Permit fees shall be assessed for work governed by this code in accordance with the fee schedule adopted by City ordinance annually, or as the City Council may deem necessary. In addition, a surcharge fee shall be collected on all permits for work governed by this code in accordance with Minn. Stat. § 326B.148. Any handling or inspection fees will be payable to the City of Isanti.
A violation of the Minnesota Electrical Act is a misdemeanor (Minn. Stat. § 326B.082, Subd. 16).
