§ 132-1 Fines for false fire alarms.

When a false automatic signal for firematic assistance is received, and the emergency call for assistance was sent as a result of human error or mechanical failure of an automatic alarm system, the following provisions shall apply:
A. 
Upon receipt of the second false alarm for the same location during any consecutive twelve-month period, written notification of the false alarms and penalties that will be incurred if additional false alarms are recorded for the location will be sent to the owner of the property.
B. 
In the event any property has three or more false alarms during any twelve-month period, the owner of the property shall, upon conviction in the Municipal Court, pay the following penalty:[1]
(1) 
If there were three or four false alarms during any twelve-month period, a fine of $100 for each false alarm.
(2) 
For five or more false alarms during any twelve-month period, a fine of $250 for each false alarm.
