§ 450-5 Driving on sidewalks prohibited. [1]

No person shall operate a motor vehicle or tractor upon any sidewalk in the Borough, nor shall any person operate a motor vehicle upon or across any sidewalk except in order to gain access to or egress from a driveway or alley at such locations where the curb, if such sidewalk is curbed, shall have been properly cut down for the purpose.

§ 450-6 Speed limits. [1]

The following speed limits are hereby established:

§ 450-7 Traffic signals at certain intersections. [1]

At the following intersections, official traffic signals shall be erected (or if heretofore erected are hereby ratified), and traffic at such intersections shall be directed by such signals:

§ 450-8 One-way highways.

§ 450-9 U-turns prohibited. [1]

It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle or tractor to make a U-turn anywhere upon any highway in the Borough.[2]

§ 450-10 Traffic to keep to right of certain center structures and barriers. [1]

All vehicular traffic shall keep to the right of the following structures or barriers located in the center of the specified intersections.[2]

§ 450-11 Stop intersections.

The following intersections are hereby established as stop intersections, and official stop signs shall be erected (or are hereby confirmed if heretofore erected) upon the first-named highway in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named highway in the direction or directions hereby indicated. All vehicles and tractors approaching any such intersection in the direction or directions hereby indicated, upon the highway indicated in each case, shall come to a full stop, within reasonable distance, before entering any such intersection:

§ 450-12 Yield-right-of-way intersections.

The following intersections are hereby established as yield-right-of-way intersections and official yield signs shall be erected (or are hereby ratified if heretofore erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named highway from the first-named highway, in the direction or directions hereby indicated. All vehicles and tractors approaching any such intersection upon the first-named highway, in the direction or directions hereby indicated, shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle in the intersection or approaching on the second-named highway so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard during the time that the operator of such vehicle or tractor is moving across or within such intersection:

§ 450-13 Certain classes of vehicles prohibited on certain highways.

A. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle or tractor, except a passenger vehicle (but towing any other vehicle), upon any of the following portions of the highways in the Borough:

B. Provided: nothing herein shall prohibit the operation of any commercial vehicle or tractor upon any highway or portion thereof listed hereinabove where such operation thereon shall be necessary in order to pick up or deliver any goods, wares, merchandise or material from or to any premises located upon any such highway or portion thereof.[1]

§ 450-14 Vehicle weight limits. [1]

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle or other tractor, trailer or tractor-trailer combination, having a gross weight in excess of that herein respectively prescribed, upon any of the following highways or portions thereof.

§ 450-15 Unlawful to operate motor vehicles or tractors on highways closed for construction or repair. [1]

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle or tractor upon any highway in the Borough that is under construction, resurfacing or repair, in disregard of any official sign, barricade or notice that the same is closed to vehicular traffic.[2]

§ 450-16 Accident reports. [1]

The operator of any motor vehicle involved in an accident in the Borough and required by law to report such accident to any department or agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any other person required to make such report, shall, at the time of making such report to the commonwealth, make a written report to the Chief of Police of the Borough containing the same information.[2]
