All persons who are in the business of leasing, owning and/or operating coin-operated vending machines within the City by dispensing any type of goods or merchandise or providing some services, such as, but not limited to, cigarette machines, juke boxes, pool tables, pinball machines, bowling machines, candy machines, food machines or beverage machines, shall obtain a license from the City Collector.

A. 
The license fee for coin-operated vending machines shall be as follows:
1. 
All machines that dispense a beverage of any kind or a food of any kind, shall be licensed at a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) per machine per year.
2. 
All cigarette machines, juke boxes, pinball machines, bowling machines or any other game machines, shall be licensed at a fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per year, per business and not per machine.
3. 
All laundromats and car washes shall be exempt from this Article and all machines owned by a person, partnership or corporation duly licensed under Chapter 605 of this Code and whose principal business is not coin-operated machines, shall be exempt from this Article.
4. 
No license is required on any machine that dispenses goods or merchandise for a price of less than ten cents ($0.10) per item.
