The Board of Supervisors shall appoint a Zoning Hearing Board whose membership, organization, procedures, and functions shall be those as set forth in Article IX of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. § 10901 et seq.
The Board shall conduct hearings and make decisions in accordance with the procedures stipulated in § 908 of Article IX of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. § 10908. Notice shall be given to the public, the applicant, the Zoning Officer, the Township Manager, and to any person who has made timely request for the same. Notices shall be given at such time and in such manner as shall be prescribed by the rules of the Board.
The Board shall have the following functions as stipulated in §§ 909 through 913 of Article IX of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. §§ 10909 through 10913:
A. 
To hear and decide appeals from decisions of the Zoning Officer.
B. 
To hear challenges to the validity of this chapter or map and issue decisions and findings of fact.
C. 
To hear and grant or deny requests for variances from the provisions of this chapter.
Persons who may file with the Board an appeal from decisions of the Zoning Officer, a challenge to the validity of this chapter or Map, or a request for a variance(s) are stipulated in § 914 of Article IX of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. § 10914. Regulations governing time limitations for persons aggrieved and all actions stayed because of the filing of the proceedings listed above are stipulated in §§ 915 and 916, respectively, of Article IX of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. §§ 10915 and 10916, respectively.
Appeals to court from any decision of the Board may be taken by any party aggrieved within 30 days after notice of the decision is issued, in the manner provided by Article X-A of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. § 11001-A et seq.

Failure to comply with any provision of this chapter shall be a violation of this chapter.
A. 
Complaints regarding violations. Whenever a violation of this chapter occurs, or is alleged to have occurred, any person may file a complaint to the Zoning Officer stating fully the causes and basis thereof. The Zoning Officer shall record such complaint, immediately investigate, and take action thereon as provided by this chapter.
B. 
Notice of violation. If the Zoning Officer shall find that any provision of this chapter has been violated, he shall notify the person responsible for such violation in writing, indicating the nature of the violation and ordering the action necessary to correct it, whereupon such violation shall be immediately corrected unless such person files an appeal of the order of the Zoning Officer in the manner provided by this chapter.
C. 
Penalties. Penalties and remedies for violations of this chapter are stipulated in §§ 616 and 617 of Article VI of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. §§ 10616 and 10617, respectively.
Any appeal from a decision or action of the Board of Supervisors or of any officer or agency of the Township in matters pertaining to this chapter shall be made in accordance with Article X-A of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as emended, 53 P.S. § 11001-A et seq.

The regulations, restrictions, and district boundaries set forth in this chapter may, from time to time, be amended through action of the Board of Supervisors in the manner provided by §§ 609 through 611 of Article VI of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. §§ 10609 and 10611, respectively.
