The City of Charleston, Missouri, is incorporated and operates as a Third Class City in the State of Missouri and will conduct its business according to the provisions and regulations designated for such municipalities except as my be otherwise provided herein.

A. 
Description. The Seal shall be so designed and engraved as to represent by its impression the following: On the outer portion, the words, "City of Charleston, Missouri," and on the center of same, the word "Seal." Said Seal shall be circular and not more than two (2) inches in diameter.
B. 
Custody Of Seal. The City Clerk shall be the keeper of the common Seal of the City of Charleston, and any impression of said Seal to any contract or other writing shall have no validity or binding obligation upon the City unless such impression be accompanied by the attestation and signature of the City Clerk, and then only in cases authorized by law or the ordinances of this City.
C. 
Use Of Seal. The City Clerk is authorized to affix the Seal of the City to copies of all records and documents.
