AMUSEMENT DEVICE
Any pool table, bowling alley, jukebox, pinball machine,
shuffleboard and any other machine, contrivance or device of similar
nature established or employed indoors for the purpose of amusement
or entertainment, whether or not operated by the insertion of a coin
or token, whether or not registering a score, and whether or not a
prize is awarded for skill in operation; provided, any such device
maintained in a private dwelling solely for the use of the occupying
family and its social guests shall not be embraced within the terms
of this Part. Provided, further, nothing herein shall be construed
to provide for the licensing or regulation of or otherwise to pertain
to any mechanical device judicially determined to be a gambling device.
PERSON
Any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation.
In this Part, the singular shall include the plural, the plural
shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine
and the neuter.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or maintain any
amusement device, as herein defined, without having obtained from
the Township Treasurer, within 10 days of the installation of such
device and annually thereafter before the first day of June, a license
for the operation of such device. No such license shall be issued
until the applicant therefor shall have paid to the Township Treasurer,
for the use of the Township, a fee in an amount as established from
time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners for every
such device to be licensed. Upon receipt of such fee, the Treasurer
shall issue a license bearing the name and address of the holder of
such license, showing payment of the fee and indicating the type of
device licensed. Such license shall be prominently posted in the vicinity
of the device licensed and shall permit the operation of a device
of such type until May 31 of the following license year. If any device
shall be installed after December 1 and prior to the following June
1, the license fee shall be in an amount as established from time
to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners for the remaining
portion of the license year.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision
of this Part, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a
fine of not more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment
of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30
days. Each day that a violation of this Part continues shall constitute
a separate offense.
