This article is enacted pursuant to the authority granted to
the Town Council by NYS Municipal Home Rule Law § 10(a).
The purpose of this article is to permit a sitting Town Clerk
that previously was qualified as an elector of the Town to continue
in office notwithstanding a subsequent change of residence.
Subject to the previous condition, it is hereby declared that
the Office of Town Clerk need not be an elector of the Town.
