All owners (individual, firm, corporation, etc.) of a rental
dwelling who do not live within 50 miles of their rental dwelling
shall designate a person-in-charge for their rental dwelling. The code official shall be notified in writing on the form required
by the borough as to who the person-in-charge is and of any changes
to information required by this code within 5 calendar days. The person-in-charge
must reside or have an office within 50 miles of their property.
The person-in-charge shall maintain all rental dwellings under
their control in compliance with the specifications of the Norristown
Building Safety, Property Maintenance, & Housing Code. Further,
the person-in-charge shall notify the owner of rental property of
all violations issued against said property by the code official.
