The provisions of this article shall apply except
when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or
official traffic control device.
Wherever a space shall be marked off on any
street for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle there
parked shall be parked within the lines bounding such space.
The parking of vehicles is prohibited at all times in those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule L (§
217-57).
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule N (§
217-59) for a longer period of time than that designated, during the hours indicated.
The standing of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule O (§
217-60) during the hours indicated.
The stopping of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule P (§
217-61) during the hours indicated.
The locations described in Schedule Q (§
217-62) are hereby designated as loading zones during the hours indicated, and the parking of vehicles in such locations is hereby prohibited during the hours indicated except for the express purpose of loading or unloading merchandise or freight. The designation of a location as a loading zone shall serve to temporarily supersede any other parking prohibition or restriction which may exist for such location.
No person shall drive, park or place any vehicle
upon the land of another within the Village without the prior consent
or invitation, express or implied, of the owner, lessee or occupant
of such land.

The Board of Trustees, acting by resolution, may from time to time designate particular days on which particular otherwise applicable parking regulations as provided in this chapter shall not be enforced. Reasonable notice of such suspension of regulations shall be given by posting signs or in such other manner as the Board of Trustees may determine in its discretion. This section shall not be deemed to authorize the Board of Trustees to act by resolution to designate any days as holidays other than those holidays designated in §
217-1 of this chapter.

The Board of Trustees, by resolution, may designate
one or more parking spaces on public streets and roads which are reserved
for vehicles lawfully displaying handicapped parking permits. Such
locations are listed in Schedule S (§ 217- 64).
